Have had lunch here a number of times over the last few months. Though initially impressed with the quality and quantity of the meals I've noticed recently the meals have shrunk and the prices have gone up. The Bento Box I posted a photo of no longer comes with spring rolls and the pork donburi seems to now be less filling however they haven't reduced the amount of rice just the pork.

Well done to the staff for being able to accommodate the diners on Friday night due to the storm and heavy rain. This was my first time ( a visitor from NSW) dining at Mondo dining with my friend ( a local). The food was delicious and the plum wine refreshing. The choice of food is extensive and definitely affordable. My friend will definitely be back bringing her family. I look forward to dining there again and sampling some more delicious food

Had dinner here with my cousins. Everything was delicious, we ordered a few things to share. The highlight for me was definitely the wagyu melt. Their tempura was also delicious.

Great food, recommend the chef's specials. We thought the Kingfish, Wagu Melt, Oka pancake and Striploin were stand outs. Plum wine was tasty also. Worth it if you feel like Japanese and in the area.

Overview M.D. is a stylish Japanese restaurant located next to the entrance to Milton train station on Railway Terrace, occupying the former site of the once popular Stazione Italian restaurant. Food The food was exceptional across the board. We began with a bottle of my favourite Asahi Super Dry ($9), miso soup ($5), crunchy edamame beans ($7), and a serving of "fireworks" sushi rolls ($19). These rolls have mushroom and cucumber with black rice, topped with avocado and pickle, seasoned with chili powder and glazed with mayo. There were six huge pieces to the serve. They were fresh and tasty and neatly laid out in a long, oval shaped bowl. The refreshing Asahi, soup, beans, and sushi made for an ideal start to our meal. For our main courses, I ordered the chicken katsu in Japanese curry with rice ($23), while my wife opted for the salmon, without the egg ($19). The chicken dish was substantial, with tender meat in a crispy batter, complemented by a flavorful Japanese curry sauce with chunky vegetables. The salmon was nicely cooked and served atop a bed of rice, though the portion was slightly small. Presentation was neat and stylish on modern crockery. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Service A young male waiter, smartly dressed with a headband, attended to us throughout the evening. He provided friendly, polite, and efficient service. Orders were taken promptly, and our meals arrived quickly and in the order requested. Everything flowed smoothly from start to finish, contributing to a relaxed and hassle-free dining experience. Clearly, the staff are well-trained, and the restaurant hums like a well-oiled machine. Ambience We loved the cool and airy atmosphere, which is perfect for dining on warm spring nights. There are both indoor and outdoor seating options; even indoors, where we sat, it was breezy with doors wide open. The spacious outdoor terrace is inviting during hot nights. The interior is vibrantly decorated with a large photo montage on one wall, abundant greenery, mood lighting, and comfortable booth seating with upholstered leather benches and solid wooden tables. This creates a bright and cheerful ambience that feels warm and inviting. We dined on a quiet Sunday night with only a few other diners, adding to the relaxed vibe with good acoustics. Cost Despite the high-quality dining experience, I found the prices quite reasonable given the current hyperinflationary crisis affecting the country. Our bill came to $80 for a bottle of Asahi, a bowl of miso soup, edamame beans, sushi rolls, and two main dishes: chicken katsu curry and salmon. With my Entertainment Club membership discount of 25%, our final total was $61, which was very good value for money. Toilets The restaurant does not have its own toilets; so one needs to request a key from the waiter to access nearby facilities, located just around the corner past the abandoned Rashays restaurant. Inside, you'll find clean and well-equipped male, female, and disabled toilets. Parking Ample street parking is available nearby on Railway Terrace or in Walsh Street. Summary We had a fab evening at M.D., and everything ran smoothly — from easy online booking to fast service and generous portions of tasty cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere. With clean facilities and plenty of parking options nearby, it’s an excellent choice for dining out with family or friends. I highly recommend Mono Dining and look forward to returning.

Great ambience from the moment you set foot to this restaurant. It has that nostalgia and jazzy vibe. Excellent food selection. We ordered the oko deluxe entree, the usual edamame, and the Sukiyaki set for 2 people. Staff were attentive. Food was definitely fresh, healthy , and flavoursome . The meat was very tender . The food, service, and ambience definitely exceeded our expectations of how much we enjoyed our dining experience. Certainly something I’d eat again . Highly recommend this restaurant.
